Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Easy Alerts Shopify app ("the App"), operated by DevCloud Software LLC ("we", "us"). By installing the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Easy Alerts is a notification engine for Shopify merchants. You configure rules that react to events in your store (orders, inventory, customers, products, refunds) and the App delivers notifications to channels you designate (email, Slack, Teams, Discord, SMS, WhatsApp, or a webhook URL you own).

2. Account & eligibility

You must be the owner or an authorized staff member of the Shopify store on which you install the App. You are responsible for anyone with access to your Shopify admin.

3. Plans, pricing & billing

The App offers a Free tier and paid tiers (Basic, Standard, Advanced, Pro) with ascending limits on monthly alert volume, channels, and rules. Pricing is displayed inside the app and on the Shopify App Store listing.

• Billing is handled by Shopify. Recurring charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice.
• Free trials (where offered) convert automatically unless you downgrade to Free before the trial ends.
• Upgrades take effect immediately; unused time on the prior plan is prorated by Shopify.
• Downgrades take effect immediately. Rules that exceed the new plan's caps will be disabled (not deleted) and can be re-enabled after upgrading again.
• Cancellation returns you to the Free plan. Your rules, channels, and settings are preserved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Configure channel URLs pointing to internal, private, or otherwise restricted networks (the App blocks these at save time).
• Use the App to deliver spam, phishing, or content that violates Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or scrape the App's interface beyond normal browser use.

5. Data & privacy

Our handling of shop and customer data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. In short: we retain the minimum required to operate the service, we do not sell data, and we honor Shopify's GDPR webhook flows.

6. Uptime & limits

We target best-effort 99.5% monthly uptime but make no SLA commitments on the Free plan. Webhook retries, rate-limit boundaries, and plan quotas are documented inside the app's Help page.

7. Third-party channels

Delivery depends on third-party services (Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, SendGrid, Twilio, etc.). We are not responsible for their uptime, policy changes, or deliverability. If your configured channel becomes invalid, the App will surface the failure in Alert History and, after repeated failures, pause the channel.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its source code, designs, and brand marks are owned by DevCloud Software LLC. You retain ownership of the content you create (rules, messages, channel configs).

9. Termination

You may uninstall at any time from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate the service for breach of these Terms, with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or revenue-based damages.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 14 days before taking effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
